In 2008, the Company purchased a 9 hectare plot in Sihanoukville, a coastal area in south-west Cambodia.
The company intends to develop an entertainment center that will include up to 3,000 hotel rooms and condominium units, a casino and an entertainment centre. The project will be developed in several phases.
The company, together with a partner, holds an additional plot of 52 hectare in an area located two kilometers south to the 9 hectare site.
The 9 hectare plot acquired is situated in an excellent location for attracting tourists and local customers. The Company aims to develop a destination beachfront resort on the land it has acquired, based around a casino, but which will also include hotel rooms, condominium units, conference center, retail space, pool and spa and other related attractions.
The company believes that Sihanoukville will be a highly attractive destination for leisure and gaming. The surrounding border area of Cambodia has a history of providing gaming facilities for Thai and Vietnamese nationals where gaming is not permitted in their home markets. The Company expects strong demand from these markets, and throughout Asia following the development and the operation of the international airport in Sihanoukville.
